Tea in the Greenhouse

Creativity and keeping up with the abundance of the spring garden
1

Hello, and welcome to the end of April garden. There is a lot. The pace of the garden in spring is possibly most challenging to keep up with creatively. There is so much cleanup and prep work to do in the garden, all while the flowers are moving from bud to decay in a matter of days, and the number of ideas for recipes, photographs, and art to make is impossible to implement. Remember to enjoy it. I tell myself this multiple times every day. This past week seemed even more wild than usual. The redbuds, lilacs, plum blossoms, and forsythia were all in bloom at the same time. The tulips in the cutting bed are all open now, and I’m madly trying to give them away and make arrangements for the house while the getting is good. Remember to enjoy it. Finding time to make art requires focus. I can’t do it all, but I can give my attention to the things that make me most curious.
